On the auspicious occasion of the Ezidi New Year, the Lalish Cultural and Social Center extends its warmest congratulations and heartfelt wishes to all Ezidis in Kurdistan, Iraq, and around the world.
May this sacred day bring peace, joy, and blessings to every Ezidi household, and may it serve as a symbol of unity, resilience, and renewed hope for our people.
In this spirit, we join His Highness Prince Hazim Tahsin Said, Prince of the Ezidis and Head of the Ezidi Supreme Spiritual Council, in his message to the Federal Government of Iraq, the Kurdistan Regional Government, the international community, and the European Union. We echo the urgent call to address the long-standing crisis facing displaced Ezidis—more than 300,000 people who have endured a decade of hardship in displacement camps, enduring both the scorching summers and harsh winters in difficult conditions.
We emphasize the critical need for a comprehensive and lasting solution to end the suffering of our people. This includes the reconstruction of Sinjar, the provision of fair and just compensation for its people, and the creation of the necessary conditions to ensure a safe and dignified return for all displaced families.
As an institution committed to the preservation of Ezidi culture, heritage, and social unity, the Lalish Cultural and Social Center reaffirms its dedication to advocating for the rights of Ezidis and working toward a future marked by justice, healing, and peace.
May the Ezidi New Year be a turning point toward a brighter and more united future for our people.
