The Kurdistan Regional Council of Ministers is holding its regular session today, Wednesday, chaired by Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, to discuss two main agenda items concerning the relationship between the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the Federal Government in Baghdad.
In the first item, the Council will review updates on the implementation of the agreements and understandings between the two sides, which have been approved by both the regional and federal councils of ministers. This includes matters related to salaries and financial entitlements for the Kurdistan Region, as well as the file of oil exports and non-oil revenues.
In the second item, the Council will discuss the draft outcome of a special meeting focused on implementing the terms of the agreement between Erbil and Baghdad regarding the establishment of a mechanism to regulate the work of the committee tasked with measuring and overseeing the production of the Region’s resources, within the framework of joint cooperation between both parties.
